A POLITICAL ally of Nicola Sturgeon has accused police of a "heavy-handed" raid on her home during a probe into SNP finances.
Noel Dolan claimed the intervention by the force would "never have happened" to a UK prime minister.
But Labour MSP Pauline McNeill hit back, saying: "It is highly inappropriate for former senior members of Sturgeon's team to be casting aspersions on an active police case.
"These investigations must be allowed to proceed in full transparency and without obstruction from anyone close to the previous first minister.
Police Scotland is investigating how £600,000 of IndyRef2 donations was spent by the SNP.
