DANCING On Ice favourite Nile Wilson has received "thousands and thousands" of support messages after talking about his mental health struggles.

The former champion gymnast turned to drink and gambling when he was forced to give up his sport through injury in 2019.

But he has turned his life around and insists others can too and he is urging people to speak up if they are suffering.

Competing again, this time on the ice, has been a real help to him mentally.

Nile, 27, said: "I just had the mindset of what if I can tell my story and it can help one person? That's good enough for me.
