Kirsty and Matt Foster, from Elgin, rely on the car to do the school run, as well as other errands owing to Kirsty's disability.

The couple have also had to fork out the £400 excess on their car insurance, which they've said has been a massive blow to the family just weeks before Christmas.

Kirsty, 32, suffers from fibromyalgia, which causes excruciating pain all over her body. This leaves her in agony in cold weather, meaning that without a car, she is trapped in her home.
