Docs and dealers held over star's pool death

MATTHEW Perry's personal assistant, two doctors and an alleged drug dealer have been charged over the Friends actor's death from an overdose.

An acquaintance of the star was also charged after an investigation to uncover who supplied the 54-year-old actor with the illegally prescribed ketamine that caused his death.

Police in California executed search warrants to seize computers and phones, and government prosecutors say they have brought federal charges.

They claim Perry's aide Kenneth Iwamasa and an acquaintance, Erik Fleming, worked with two physicians and the dealer to obtain thousands of dollars worth of ketamine for the star.

An indictment that was filed on Wednesday but unsealed yesterday detailed grand jury charges against Jasveen Sangha - nicknamed the Ketamine Queen and Salvador Plasencia, known as Dr P.Sangha allegedly maintained a "stash house" in North Hollywood.

Dr Plasencia, who worked at an urgent care centre, allegedly sought to get the drug to Perry, despite knowing his history of drug abuse.
