Dodgy concrete used in 100s of NHS buildings

Yousaf reveals 254 health buildings and 40 schools have been built with 'Aero bar' blocks

HUNDREDS of Scottish NHS buildings contain dodgy Raac concrete, Humza Yousaf revealed yesterday.

The First Minister told MSPs 40 schools contain the potentially dangerous material.

He also revealed 254 NHS buildings, including hospitals and health centres, are believed to be affected.

Councils are still working out how many buildings possess the concrete known as Raac, described by one expert as like a "concrete Aero bar".

Although no schools have closed, temporary classrooms have been set up, affecting over 1000 pupils.
