FOOTY INJURY ALMOST PUT SON IN I.C.U

QUICK-THINKING medics sprang into action after a young footballer’s dislocated collarbone led to a rare complication.

Isaiah Muzaale, nine, was injured in an accidental clash while playing for Heart of Midlothian FC’s academy side against Rangers on June 7.

His parents Kerry and Edwin took him to Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Children.

Medics there found the schoolboy had popped his collarbone near vessels pumping blood to his heart and windpipe.

A trauma team sent him for surgery amid fears one wrong move could lead to the bone piercing his blood vessels and stopping the supply to his heart.
