SCOTS holidaymakers have been left stranded at European resorts in the aftermath of the global IT outage.

Hundreds of families in Turkey and Cyprus still face long delays after airline TUI cancelled their flights home.

The firm was accused of failing to inform them of the cancellations following the CrowdStrike IT outage on Friday.

One Scot in Turkey said: "There are people here with young children, with health conditions who have been badly let down. Disappointment doesn't even cover it."

Some who arrived at Antalya airport, in Turkey, and Larnaca in Cyprus, in the last few days say they waited hours before being told via text message the flights were cancelled.

The IT outage caused worldwide disruption forcing flights, banks, businesses and broadcasters offline. The impact could last for weeks.
