I WAD HOST EUROVISION EVERY YEAR IF I COULD

IN THE last four years Hannah Waddingham has gone from jobbing actor to this year’s brightest star.

And as well as being a household name on both sides of the Atlantic for Ted Lasso this year she’s adding more strings to her bow.

Hannah, 49, has become a presenter – impressing a huge audience when hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.

She received the entertainer gong at the Glamour Women of the Year awards, hosted the Earthshot Prize ceremony in Singapore and is set to star in her own musical TV special, Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas, on Apple TV+.

In early November, when the special was announced, she was trending on Twitter and “It’s Hannah Waddingham’s world, we’re just living in it” was a common refrain.

The multi-talented performer, who has a nine-year-old daughter, Kitty, from a previous relationship, wants to keep mixing it up in her career.

She said: “[I want to] step back into theatre when the right thing comes along, carry on with my screen work but then occasionally host things I think are total magic.”

In May she became a national treasure after hosting Eurovision, in Liverpool and had so much fun doing it she now wants the job every year.

Hannah said: “It was the most ridiculously hard work for five days but the greatest pleasure.
