TONY WATT insists he harboured no hard feelings after he was dropped by straight-shooter boss Jim Goodwin last week.

However, the striker hopes his two-goal haul against Queen's Park has proved Dundee United are a better team with him in it.

Watt was recalled against the Spiders in place of the injured Louis Moult and revelled in leading the line as the tabletopping Terrors came from behind to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games.

The 29-year-old netted what was his first goal of the season before the break - the last time he scored was while on loan at St Mirren in April while his previous counter for the Terrors came on January 2 against St Johnstone and then secured his double in the second half.

Now, having ended that long drought, Watt is determined to repay boss Goodwin for showing faith in him by hitting the back of the net on a consistent basis.
