KEBAB RAID WORKERS IN THE CLEAR

A TAKEAWAY boss has blasted the Home Office after finally being told no action will be taken following a mob-handed raid which saw legitimate workers arrested and left his business in ruins.

The Record reported in September how four staff feared for their safety when 14 immigration officers stormed Oban's Kebabish.

Now, more than three months after the men were arrested, Kebabish owner Shaukat Chaudhry has been told no action or penalty is warranted.

The businessman, who is now being treated for stress, closed his takeaway and put his adjoining restaurant up for sale after the fallout from the raid.

Last night, Shaukat said: "They have ruined my business, they have ruined my reputation and terrified my staff, they will never come back, they're scared." Three workers were arrested then released, while the fourth, in his 20s, was detained at a month.
