Scots women most likely to pop question today

ONE in six loved-up Scottish women are planning to pop the question today, according to a poll.

Scots women topped the list for a February 29 proposal in the survey by Cairn Hotel Group.

The date, which falls every four years on a leap year, is known as Ladies' Privilege Day or Bachelor's Day and traditionally sees women pop the question instead of the man.

Fiona Gordon, 34, from Edinburgh, is one of those planning to propose today, to her partner of eight years.
