NEIGHBOURS of a couple found dead have been left shocked after it emerged they died in a murder-suicide.
Alison McLaughlin, 53, and her husband Neil, 57, were discovered at their home in Greenock on January 5.
The couple were well regarded in the community and only recently became grandparents.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "It's heartbreaking to hear and even worse as it's just after Christmas and New Year when families are supposed to come together.
"Theirs has been torn apart It's an absolute sin for their daughter and wee granddaughter." Another added:
