ELAINE C Smith insists her comedian daughter Hannah Morton is no "nepo baby" and will have to make her own way in showbiz.
The Two Doors Down actress will be playing the Kings Theatre in March as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
Her daughter Hannah, 30, will also be performing in the festival with her self-penned Sad Girls Club show at Strathclyde Union.
But Elaine, 65, said Hannah is learning the hard way how to make it big in comedy.
The star said: "I've said to her, There will never be a time that I will put you on the stage of the Kings with me unless someone else has auditioned you and thinks you're right for the part'.
I can't do that to her. I remember it happened to Sofia Coppola in The Godfather III.
