Lee: We believe we can do the amazing.….. and don't need my old club as proof
Never mind Wednesday ...our moment's Friday

LEE BULLEN believes miracles do happen as he plots Ayr's Premiership semi-final play-off recovery mission against Partick Thistle tonight.

The Somerset Park boss was quick to dismiss any notion of using his former club's astonishing fightback in their League One play-off against Peterborough from four goals down as an inspiration.

Despite being an Owls legend and accepting the similarities of their own plight as they trail 3-0 from Firhill, Bullen is adamant his Honest Men can write their own fairytale salvage job.

He said: "I know people will look at what Sheffield Wednesday achieved in their play-off but our situation has nothing to do with that.

"We are comfortable in ourselves and know what we have to do. Every man and his dog will believe it's mission impossible for us but we believe.

"We truly believe we can do something amazing. If we don't believe that there would be no point in turning up so you just never know. In our heads this tie is by no means over."
