Barry Robson’s side begin their Viaplay Cup campaign tonight away to League One Stirling Albion.

The Dons reached the semi-finals last term where they narrowly lost to Rangers as Morris sat out because of an injury.

And he said: “I missed the game at Hampden, so it’s a big aim for me to play there this season and hopefully win. We want to get to the later stages.”

Morris’ move from Fleetwood last year was disrupted by a hamstring injury but it was a crash course on the demands of delivering for the Dons.
