Chaos as Israeli troops move in

THE ISRAELI army yesterday entered Gaza's biggest hospital complex in what they described as a "targeted operation".

Medical staff at Al-Shifa hospital said they did not bring in any desperately needed supplies.

But the Israelis vehemently denied this and posted a video showing some aid being delivered.

Eye-witnesses described chaotic scenes inside the hospital as troops ordered all men between the age of 18 and 40 into a courtyard.

Omar Zaqout, an emergency room employee, said Israeli soldiers had "detained and brutally assaulted some of the men who were taking refuge at the hospital".

He said: "Israeli forces took the detained men naked and blindfolded. They did not bring any aid or supplies, they only brought terror and death.
