Pep's Treble winners now rule planet football
ON TOP OF THE WORLD WORLD

IT wasn't long ago Manchester City dreamed of being the best team in town. Now they've conquered the world.

Julian Alvarez scored twice, with a Phil Foden effort and an own goal by Fluminense defender Nino ensuring City lifted the Club World Cup for the first time.

It was a ruthless performance from the Blues - although the sight of midfield lynchpin Rodri limping off in the second half will be a worry for Pep Guardiola on the flight home.

The City gaffer paid tribute to his players for their record-breaking year and then challenged them to do it again in 2024.

The Blues became the first English club to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup in the same year.

And Guardiola said: "It was an incredible year. Today we closed the chapter. We won everything we could. Now it's time to try again.
