Nicola Sturgeon denies break-up in wake of arrests

NICOLA Sturgeon has insisted her marriage is solid despite the couple's arrest shock.

They were pulled in separately by officers as part of Operation Branchform and police tents were erected outside their Glasgow home.

The former first minister spoke out about her relationship since she and Peter Murrell were quizzed in relation to claims of fraud in the SNP.

Sturgeon, 53, has always protested her innocence but made a point of saying she could not speak for the others involved.

However, she has opened up about her private life in a podcast with former Tory MP and TV star Gyles Brandreth.
