She tells Morgan she did not hound Scots comic
BABY Reindeer's real-life Martha has gone head to head with celebrity interviewer Piers Morgan in a TV clash.
Fiona Harvey, 58, recorded her first "big TV interview" with the broadcaster this week.
But Harvey, originally from Fyvie in Aberdeenshire, told the Record she was "not happy" with Morgan's questioning after the interview was recorded in London.
She described the interview as a "sparring match" and was forced to refute claims by Morgan that she "loved" Richard Gadd.
In the 30-minute show, to be broadcast on Morgan's YouTube channel tonight, the Scots law graduate will talk openly about being outed as comedian Gadd's alleged stalker.
She will be grilled on allegations she became obsessed with the Fife-born comedian over a period of years inspiring the character of Martha in Gadd's hit Netflix drama.
The interview comes after the Record carried the first current picture and newspaper interview with Harvey after she was exposed as the real-life Martha by internet sleuths.
Harvey said Morgan refused to accept what she was saying, adding "There was a heavy emphasis from Piers Morgan on Gadd and the emails I am supposed to have sent.
"I have my own thoughts on it that I'd like to keep to myself but I wouldn't say I was happy.
"It was very rapid to try to trip me up. He did it fast paced to catch me off guard.
"Piers kept saying to me, 'Are you sure you haven't sent this guy 41,000 emails and phone calls?
"A lot of the interview, for a good 10 minutes, he kept coming back to this.
"I said, 'Look, even if I had sent some emails, it doesn't mean I'm guilty of the rest of the stuff (in the show). As I said, in order to bill something as a true story, it's got to be pretty much 100 per cent true.
