A WOMAN has begged medics to amputate her leg after a dog attack left her in constant agony.
Margaret-Rose McGill was mauled by a bull-terrier type dog before spending six weeks in hospital as doctors tried to repair the extensive muscle and tissue damage.
The 42-year-old said she has been in constant pain for two years and has multiple open wounds on her leg after developing chronic ulcers around the bite wound.
Now the pain is so bad she has asked doctors for an amputation of her left leg below the knee.
Margaret-Rose, of Troon, Ayrshire, said: "I've begged the doctors multiple times to take my leg off because I can't keep living like this. I am terrified that I'll end up with sepsis and die.
