Farmer tells how he found couple in car three days after their accident

CRASH victim Lamara Bell begged for help when she was finally discovered three days after her car veered off the M9 and went down a steep embankment.

Farmer Robert Findlay told a fatal accident inquiry at Falkirk Sheriff Court that he was the first to reach the scene of the crash.

Findlay, now 66, told how he spotted "a blue object" in a wooded area next to the M9 while driving back to his farm at around 10am on July 8.

Shortly afterwards, he drove back from the area and had a clearer view. Moving closer to it, he could see it was a car.

In order to get closer, he had to climb down a "steep" embankment and over two fences.
