DIARMUID O'CARROLL insists St Mirren's self-policing dressing room will ensure there's no hangover from the 4-0 Dundee drubbing at the weekend.

The Paisley No.2 knows that while boss Stephen Robinson pushes the standards at the club, the onus is on the players to maintain them.

And having got to third spot, O'Carroll is adamant everyone moving in the same direction has been pivotal and cited the example of the squad's acceptance of having to train on Saturday and Sunday last week when Saints had a free weekend due to the Viaplay Cup semi-finals being played.

He said: "Anyone who knows the manager knows he doesn't take his foot off the pedal for much. I think he actually gets more determined to work harder the more we win.
