RUN OF THE MILL ISN'T THE WAY I WORK

MILLER THOMSON experienced the highs and lows of football in a week after becoming a derby hero to going viral with a horror miss at the start of this season.

He has been handed his first Scotland U21s call after making a big impact with high-flying Dundee United.

Thomson is part of Scot Gemmill's squad for their must-win game tomorrow in Malta, with just three games left in their bid to reach Euro 2025.

United sit third in the Premiership after an unbeaten start to the league season and the 20-year-old made an immediate impression when he netted his first goal for the club against Dundee in the opening game of the campaign.

It was a proud moment for Thomson, who spent a chunk of last term on loan at Montrose, but he was soon brought down to earth the following week.

He was presented with a gaping goal just ten seconds into United's clash at Ross County and somehow scooped the ball over the bar. But he reckons that's part and parcel of the game.
