Mum tells how boy endured horrific bullying every day

A DISTRAUGHT mum has slammed her son’s former school after he was subjected to a sickening playground sexual assault.

The mum, who asked us to protect her identity, is speaking out on her child’s harrowing bullying ordeal as part of the Daily Record’s Our Kids... Our Future campaign.

She told how her eight-year-old son was targeted as soon as he started the school in Paisley, Renfrewshire, at the age of five.

The mum, who claims she made “constant” complaints to staff, said the boy would come home with fresh injuries on a daily basis, including black eyes, cuts and bruises.

The 41-year-old mother-of-two said: “It was a daily occurrence and he became quite subdued.

“He had black eyes, cuts and bruises and it just kept continuing. I was constantly complaining, yet nothing was being done.

“As a family, we were also trying everything to safeguard my son by taking him out of school during lunchtimes, but nothing was helping.

“He was still getting abused during the 15-minute break. He was just a punchbag.

“He ended up not wanting to go to school at all because he was really suffering.

“It was a worry every single day. I’d go to work worried sick.”
