Grant Shapps was handed his fifth Cabinet job in less than a year after the resignation of Ben Wallace.
Shapps was booted out as Transport Secretary on September 6 last year by Liz Truss, then made Home Secretary for six days as her administration collapsed.
Under Rishi Sunak, Shapps became business secretary last October, then energy security secretary in February.
