PHILIPPE CLEMENT asked to see him show a greater greed for goals.

But with his Rangers teammates continuing to stick the ball on a plate, there's no need for Abdallah Sima to be too selfish.

On Sunday against St Mirren, it was Todd Cantwell who served up the Senegalese ace with a double.

This time it was James Tavernier feeding the Brighton loanee wingman's appetite with a pass-of-the-season contender as Sima made it to 12 goals for the season.

But Rangers manager Clement also had goalkeeper Jack Butland to thank as he tucked into a result that means he's now gone a delightful dozen games unbeaten since taking over at Ibrox.

The Englishman was required to make a couple of vital saves in either half as Rangers' failure to take a string of big chances offered Steven Naismith's Hearts late hope they could snatch something off the Light Blues' plate.

Instead, they have been left without a crumb of comfort. with their run of woe against Rangers since Covid now stretching to 12 games.

The goal Sima gobbled up 11 minutes before half-time keeps Rangers eight points back from Celtic, albeit with a game in hand.

Hearts - who came in on the back of four straight wins trudged off with the only positive being that they stay a point clear of St Mirren in third...

There was a welcome return of Nathaniel Atkinson to the

Gorgie line-up after three months out as the defender came into Naismith's team. along with Kyosuke Tagawa.
