THE parents of murdered teacher Marelle Sturrock have called her "the happiest person ever" as they paid tribute to her and their unborn grandson.

The 35-year-old, who was 29 weeks pregnant, was found dead by police at her home in Jura Street in Craigton, Glasgow, on April 25.

A hunt was launched for her fiancé, David Yates, 36, whose body was later discovered eight miles away in a reservoir beside Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie. He was the only suspect in Marelle's murder.

Detectives believe Marelle's murder may have been premeditated, with Yates dropping their dog at his mum's before killing his partner and then taking his own life. Her unborn son did not survive.

Marelle's parents, Colin and Lorna Sturrock, spoke of their shock yesterday.
