UNICEF warns of toll as Israel raids kill dozens more in 24 hrs

THOUSANDS of Palestinian children lie dead beneath destroyed homes in Gaza after months of Israeli raids, UNICEF has claimed.

It came as dozens of people were killed in the latest airstrikes over a 24-hour period.

UN Palestine ambassador Riyad Mansour claimed 16,000 Gaza kids have now died since the October 7 attack, more than the global child death toll over the past four years.

UNICEF's deputy director Ted Chaiban warned children still endure "incomprehensible suffering" in Gaza amid a "staggering" scale of death and destruction there.
