Singer wows Cardiff on first UK gig

THERE was a buzz in the air in Tiger Bay as Beyonce's fans - known as her Bey-hive - descended on Cardiff in glitter, sequins and silver.

It was the first night of the UK leg of her Renaissance tour and a taster for fans who will see her at Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday.

Fans travelled from all over Europe to be among the 70,000strong crowd at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last night.

And, boy, was it was worth the effort. The dancing was impeccable and the costumes were mesmerising as the biggest star on the planet put on a show.

She kicked off by applauding all the cowboy hats she could see in the crowd before launching into a three-hour extravaganza of 40 of her greatest hits.
