A "TRANSGENDER" butcher has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a girl for more than 27 hours.
Andrew Miller, who also identifies as Amy George, was interviewed by police after the 11-year-old girl was found at a property in the Borders.
Forensic officers were seen at the 53-year-old's home yesterday.

A MAN described as transgender" has been arrested over the disappearance of a schoolgirl who vanished for more than 27 hours in the Borders.
Police yesterday confirmed that Andrew George Miller a local butcher who also identifies as a woman called Amy George was being interviewed by officers after the 11-year-old was found at an address in the Galashiels area on Monday night.
A team of forensic officers were spotted yesterday at the 53-year-old’s home in the village of Gattonside, which is about three miles from where the primary pupil was last spotted.
A cordon was in place, with uniformed officers standing guard outside the plush detached property in Montgomerie Terrace.
