As he prepares to first foot his old club Kilmarnock, the midfielder knows there's no better time to improve a record of only one Premiership win on the road.
Only one loss in Paisley has raised the expectation levels for Stephen Robinson's side but Kiltie admits racking up the points on their travels is a 2023 priority, starting at Rugby Park.
The 25-year-old said: "There's still disappointment from last year because I felt we should have got top six then.
"It's definitely our aim this year and when I look at the squad, we're definitely capable.
"The home record speaks for itself, it's the away form. But we aim to rectify that.
"A point at Livingston last midweek was a good one. We've probably lost those kind of games before the break.
