A TEENAGER brutally beaten on a school bus is to meet with the First Minister and call for urgent action over an epidemic of youth violence.
Kaylynn Donald, who was battered as she made her way home from school in Fife, will meet with John Swinney at St Andrew's House in Edinburgh on August 29.
The 13-year-old intends to press the SNP leader on what is being done to tackle and prevent violence among kids after she was left suicidal and requiring mental health support following the attack in October 2022.
The incident, which was filmed by onlookers, saw the schoolgirl left covered in bruises and humiliated as the video of her assault went viral online.
KIDS OUR Speaking ahead of the meeting, Kaylynn's mum.
Vicky, 38, told the Record: "I'm delighted that the First Minister has offered to meet Kaylynn. It is a step in the right direction.
"Finally, after nearly two years of campaigning, Kaylynn feels as though she is being listened to.
"I hope our sit down with Swinney will lead to meaningful action on the issue of youth violence because it can no longer go on the way that it is.
