Hats off to King & Queen at Ascot

IT TAKES a lot to overshadow the King and Queen but some of these racegoers at Royal Ascot gave it their best shot yesterday.

Punters pulled out all the stops in stunning hats, summer dresses and smart suits as Charles and Camilla kicked off the five-day festival.

And the sun had its hat on too, as thousands f locked to the annual event.

The royal couple are hoping for a repeat of last year’s luck, when their horse Desert Hero won the King George V Stakes, their first winner at the famous meeting as owners.
