YANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

DANNY WILSON admits he loved living the American dream for six years with his family.

The former Scotland, Rangers, Liverpool and Hearts defender moved to the States in 2018 to play for MLS outfit Colorado Rapids.

But the 32-year-old always intended to return to Scotland and jumped at the chance to join Callum Davidson's Championship side Queen's Park at the start of this month.

Wilson could not prevent the Spiders losing 3-1 to Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday in a first start for his new club but was delighted to be back among the action. Wilson said: "I haven't played since midOctober when the season finished over there so it was good to have that feeling again of waking up on a game day, knowing you are playing and have a match to look forward to.
