KYLE STEYN admits he was one of the "lucky ones" to meet the brave souls behind the smiling faces at Christmas in Scotland's largest children's hospital.

And the Glasgow Warriors skipper insists tomorrow's runout at Scotstoun is about much more than sending a message to Glasgow's URC rivals it's about sending a message of support to those big-hearted families.

Warriors face Scarlets as they try to secure the five league points required to guarantee a home draw in the URC play-offs.

But Steyn's determined to make the most of the 'Plaster Scotstoun Purple' night - with the team warming up in custom kit and wearing purple socks during the match as the whole squad shows its support for a cause close to their collective hearts.

He explained: "Warriors started the partnership with the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity in 2018 - the Steyn says going purple is Warriors' chance to show brave families they're all behind them BY DAVID BARNES year before I arrived at the club and the biggest thing for us has been the annual Christmas visit there.
