RUSSELL ANDERSON has called on Dave Cormack and his Aberdeen board to make a unanimous decision over their next manager.
And the Reds hero has warned them they simply have to get this one right.
Since Cormack took over in 2019, the Dons have gone through five managers, with the chairman being accused of making lone wolf decisions in some of the appointments.
It has left Aberdeen toiling near the bottom of the Premiership and despite Saturday ’s win over Mother well, they remain locked in a relegation fight.
Former Dons centre-back Anderson has been left fuming with the club’s perilous position and admits the quality in the dressing room at Pittodrie hasn’t shown this season.
Despite the current crop of players under-performing this term, Aberdeen have a Scottish Cup semi-final soon against Celtic and look to make it to a second consecutive cup final when they face Brendan Rodgers’s side at Hampden next month.
And Anderson said: “There’s been a lot of upheaval at the club over the last few seasons and it’s not good for anybody.
“New managers come in and they have their own ideas, sign their own players which means existing players are maybe surplus to requirements or don’t fit into certain styles or tactics.
“The club need to decide what kind of identity they want and the team they want.
“That will drive the decision as to who will be the right type of person to be the next manager.
