Albert tips Red Devils to shake off former pressures

IT’S NOT just the Three Lions who are proving there is life after the Golden Generation.

Belgium may not have the household names who dominated their squad a few years ago.

But under the shrewd stewardship of head coach Domenico Tedesco (right), the Red Devils are on the march again after their disastrous performances at the World Cup in Qatar.

And according to Belgian legend Philippe Albert, despite the retirement of several big names, there can be a silver lining for his countrymen in the weeks ahead.

“Of course on paper, we don’t look as strong without players such as Eden Hazard, Toby Alderweireld and Dries Mertens,” said the former Newcastle defender.

“For the last 10 years, we have gone into the major tournaments as one of the favourites.

“But England know only too well that offers no guarantees.
