STEVE EVANS told his Stevenage side that some of his men should have played for Barnardo’s despite seeing them go top of League One. 

The Scot was seething as the Boro somehow failed to win despite dominating.

Joe Garner’s 90th-minute header earned Carlisle an undeserved point after two Jamie Reid goals looked like continuing Stevenage’s stunning start to the campaign.

And angry Evans said: “I’m not interested in top of the league.

“We played very well but conceded two of the worst goals you are likely to concede. They were shambolic.
