ALL the pre-match talk was about 'Wagatha Christie' but Wayne Rooney couldn't guide Birmingham on the pitch to the victory his wife won in the courtroom.

Leicester extended their Championship lead to three points with a comfortable win to silence the first Rooney-Vardy meeting since their wives were involved in their legal dispute thanks to Stephy Mavididi's brace.

Fans of both sides lapped up the off-field prequel, with Birmingham supporters chanting 'Jamie Vardy your wife is a grass' while Leicester taunted a Rooney (right) with, 'You're getting sacked in the morning!

There was no sign of Jamie Vardy, who missed the game with a knee injury and so prevented a bigger media circus.
