GARY NEVILLE has accused Manchester United of lacking genuine leadership in the dressing room.

And he believes United need to find the same culture he experienced during his long and glorious career at Old Trafford if Erik ten Hag's team is to stand a chance of winning trophies.

Neville broke into a United team in 1992 when Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes and Steve Bruce ruled the roost.

He shared the dressing room with other huge characters and leaders, like Roy Keane, Paul Ince, Eric Cantona and Rio Ferdinand.

Neville admits they helped him come through the ranks and had a hand in defining his career.

But the former England and United defender fears there are no such figures in the current United side to help guide the fresh talent emerging at the club.
