Boss Rob gets torn apart by Turkey

DANNY WARD saved a penalty and Turkey had two efforts ruled out by VAR but 10-man Wales still crashed to another defeat.

Leicester keeper Ward produced a brilliant penalty save from home skipper Hakan Calhanoglu in the 64th minute.

But the visitors were left to rue having midfielder Joe Morrell sent off four minutes before the break.

They survived VAR calls in either half which ruled out potential goals for Turkey in Samsun.

But the hosts eventually prevailed following Umut Nayir's late header and an absolute belter from Fenerbahce teenager Arda Guler.

It was a second successive reverse for Rob Page's men after a devastating loss at home to Armenia last week when Kieffer Moore was also sent off and hopes are now fading fast for Wales’ aims of automatically reaching a third successive Euros.
