BRITAIN was unprepared for the pandemic because the Government was bogged down with Brexit, the Covid-19 inquiry heard.
Ministers were so busy plotting how to cope with the "severe consequences" of a no-deal EU exit it "crowded out" planning for a major health crisis, it was claimed.
Opening yesterday, the inquiry aims to get to the bottom of Britain's planning and response to the 2020 virus.
