CHELSEA face a headache leading up to the start of next season, with a significant number of players in line to be called up for the Olympics.
The men’s football at the Paris Games runs from July 24 to August 10 and finishes the week before the new Premier League campaign gets underway. It is an Under-23s tournament and, while each country is allowed to select three older players, Chelsea could be hit hard because of the high number of youngsters in their squad.
Malo Gusto is in line to be selected by hosts France, who will be managed by Thierry Henry and have vowed to pick their strongest available squad.
Benoit Badiashile, Lesley Ugochukwu and Wesley Fofana are also eligible for France, while Enzo Fernandez (below) and Mykhailo Mudryk are eligible for Argentina and Ukraine respectively.
