NORRIE-MANIA gripped Wimbledon today as Britain's latest tennis star said he was "comfortable" being a figurehead for the next generation of young players.
Cameron Norrie, the last British singles player in the tournament, was taking on Belgium's David Goffin in this afternoon's quarter finals.
Supporters queuing since 2am yesterday to see the 26-year-old backed his rallying cry for "everyone to get behind me".
Asked about inspiring the next generation after making into the last eight of a Grand Slam event for the first time, Norrie said: "I'm feeling comfortable doing that, and really enjoying playing at this level, first of all.
