Russia builds dragon's teeth’ tank defences against Ukraine fight-back

RUSSIA is building anti-tank defences, called dragon's teeth, around the city of Mariupol as Vladimir Putin's forces prepare for a Ukraine counter-attack, according to the UK Ministry of Defence.

The port city in southern Ukraine was a major strategic target for Russia early in the war as they sought to link their invasion forces with troops and supplies from the annexed Crimea peninsula.

The city, and especially the Azovstal plant, put up fierce resistence but were eventually overwhelmed.

Now Russian forces are preparing for a counter-offensive by a resurgent Ukraine, the MoD said in their daily update on the war.
