Turkish football has been suspended after Koca attacked referee Halil Umut Meler after his side conceded a 97th-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Rizespor.
Koca ran on to the pitch and punched Meler in the face. Meler was also kicked as he lay on the turf and is said to have suffered a fractured cheekbone. He eventually made it to the dressing room with the help of the police and required treatment in hospital.
Turkish justice minister Yilmaz Tunc said Koca and two others were formally arrested for "injuring a public official".
Meler had sent off one player from each side before opponents Rizespor equalised in the seventh minute of injury time.
