AS THE CALENDAR year draws to a close, the fundraising activity of non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) has gained momentum.
NBFCs raised over â¹10,000 crore on Thursday through bonds, with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) leading the pack with â¹4,864-crore mop-up.
Other companies, including Indian Railway Finance Corporation, L&T Finance, Sundaram Finance and SMFG India Credit, raised â¹500 crore to â¹2,000 crore.
Nabard's bond issuance had a total size of â¹7,000 crore, comprising a base issue size of â¹3,000 crore and a greenshoe option of â¹4,000 crore.
