WE RECENTLY MET Apollo Tyres and the key takeaways are as follows: (i) demand trends are mixed, with weakness in OEMs but steady replacement demand; (ii) raw material (RM) cost pressures are expected to persist through Q3FY25E, with relief anticipated from Q4FY25E onwards; (iii) pricing actions have been implemented to mitigate margin pressures, although competitive intensity in certain segments remains high; (iv) several measures are being undertaken to address revenue and margin challenges in the domestic market; and (v) a 15% capacity expansion in the passenger car radial (PCR) segment is underway. We maintain our Sell rating.
