THE COUNTRY'S LARGEST software service provider, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Wednesday said that it has won a mega deal from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to transform the luxury carmaker's digital estate and build its new, future-ready digital core. The deal is valued at £800 million ($1 billion) over the next five years.
According to the terms of the deal, TCS will help JLR to transform, simplify and manage its digital services, and build a new future-ready, strategic technology architecture that will support the latter's "Reimagine" strategy. The partnership is a win-win for both TCS and JLR. TCS gains a strategic foothold in the automotive industry, while JLR gets a trusted partner with expertise and resources to help it achieve its digital transformation goals.
