LUDHIANA: Dharamjeet Singh Dhillon, district president of the Lecturer Cadre Union, has urged Punjab's education minister Harjot Singh Bains to reschedule the timings for government schools across Punjab, reopening on January 8. Dhillon proposed shifting the school hours from the current schedule of 9am to 3.20pm to 10am to 3pm, citing concerns over students' safety during harsh winter conditions.
